About me
Greetings!
My name is Tuglea Cristian, and I am a 22-year-old networking enthusiast from Romania. Let me tell you a few things about myself: I am a disciplined person, motivated to grow and looking for challenges that help me develop. I prioritize truly understanding of things, always questing why something works or not, how it works and if it can be improved. I also value practical skills, as I believe that they are as important as theoretical ones, especially when combined. In a market where many tend to become script-kitties, I focus on truly mastering every new concept.
I am deeply passionate about networking and ready to apply the skills developed over the past eight months in real-life scenarios. My focus while studying for the CCNA was on truly understanding each concept and practicing in labs, aiming to master both the theoretical and practical aspects. My ultimate goal is to become a professional who delivers genuine value to a company. I am highly motivated to advance in the field of Networking and become a Senior Network Engineer.
My professional development consists in 2 main courses, that I tried to complement with many other subjects for which I self-studied. The main course I am taking is CCNA, being part of a 5-months intensive course from Telecom Academy, Romania. I am currently at CCNA 3, preparing to take my final exams and taking the CCNA certification. Also, I took a Windows Server Administration course on Udemy, developing my system administration skills so that I can gain a broader view on Networking. I also worked with many distributions of Linux, of which I am passionate about, looking forward to develop my skills further in system architecture and management. Furthermore, I took a free 15-hours course on basic Python programming, and I am currently taking a course on Udemy on Ethical Hacking with Python.
My professional aspirations include completing the CCNP certification within the next two years and preparing to take on the ultimate challenge of obtaining the CCIE certification, with the goal of becoming an expert in the field.

CCNA Badges
CCNA: Introduction to Networks was a great foundation in Networking, helping me understanding core elements as layered approach of networking, layer encapsulation, differences between Layer 2 and Layer 3 communication and fundamental protocols in Networking: IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, IP, IPv6 ARP, ICMP, RIP, TCP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS. Also, I developed strong skills in Cisco IOS configuration, device management and security.
CCNA: Switching, Wireless and Routing Essentials took my professional development further, diving into advanced Switching, VLANs, Network logical segmentation and Inter-VLAN-Routing. Redundancy was also an important part of this course, covering both Layer 2 (STP, Etherchannel) and Layer 3 (HSRP). Other important concepts were Network Security best practices, focusing on Layer 2 security. Also, other important skills that I gained from CCNA 2 are DHCP, DHCPv6 and SLAAC, Wireless and Routing, focusing on static routing.
CCNA: Enterprise Networking, Security and Automation helped me dive deeper in core networking objects and develop strong relevant skills. The main subjects it covered include the routing protocol OSPF and it's implementation as single-area and multiarea, NAT, Cisco design and WAN concepts. Security was also a core subject, covering ACL, VPN, encryption and IPsec. Last but not least, I studied network automation, starting with data formats like JSON and XML, and covering APIs, RESTCONF, virtualization, Ansible, cloud computing, practicing all this concepts and technologies in dedicated labs.
Windows Server Administration
The Windows Server 2019 Administration course I completed this summer provided me with comprehensive insights into the realm of System and Server administration.
Starting from the fundamentals of Windows File Systems and permissions, I progressed to the configuration and implementation of various Roles and Features. This in-depth study gave me a thorough understanding of the "server side" of network operations.
The course, taught by the exceptional Kevin Brown, whom I highly recommend, equipped me with a solid grasp of Windows Server features. I am now well-prepared to apply this knowledge and these skills in real-world scenarios.
